The Spirit
in the Sticks

 The Spirit in the Sticks brings together several longtime passions of mine – stained glass art and the sport of lacrosse. I’m Bert Smith, a lacrosse player of fifty years and a stained glass artisan for forty years. The Spirit in the Sticks captures the essence of the Creator’s Game, the wooden sticks, given to us allowing us to play this great game.

Meticulously handcrafted, the artwork features specially selected glass from the finest manufacturers, highlighted by a pocket woven from copper wire evoking the leather and catgut used in the original wooden sticks. The wooden stick design is available in two styles: one with a medicine wheel symbol or one with customized etched glass bevels.

Our modern stick design features school colors and personalized glass bevels. The design pays tribute, in a contemporary style, to today’s players who continue to enjoy the game that many believe is the oldest sport in North America, carrying on the traditions of dedication, honor, and teamwork.
